dc.description.abstractThe issue of transboundary water concerns more than 40% of world population. The fundamental aspects required to realise how this water may be managed in an effective manner are presented in view of the global scenario. Critical issues that require immediate attention are analysed in light of history and case studies. Synthesis of information gained from various case studies, current situation and defects found in propositions in order to make future progress and necessary recommendations to help countries that want to regulate their problems of shared natural hydro-ecosystem together are presented. Development of a coherent methodology would help to sharing this common problem. Present international regulations together with their effectiveness are presented.en_US
